Gaming, ESports & Virtual Reality
In collaboration with the East Metro STEAM Partnership, BB2S is excited to offer our Gaming/ESports and Creativity Program! This pathway gives students hands-on experience creating games, coding, and exploring immersive technologies like Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. Students can also participate in ESports competitions, develop teamwork and problem-solving skills, and gain insight into careers in gaming, technology and creative industries.
Game Design Team -OGPC
Season: September to May - Tuesdays & Thursdays
Ever wanted to be a game designer? Join us for a full season of video game development where students work as a team to design, build, and refine their own games. Participants explore game mechanics, storytelling, coding, and visual design while learning how games are developed from conception to completion.
ESports & Competitive Gaming
Season: January to May - Mondays & Wednesdays
Our Esports program gives students the opportunity to compete as part of an organized team while developing skills in strategy, communication, and teamwork. Students learn about collegiate esports pathways and how competitive gaming can lead to scholarship opportunities.
Virtual Reality
Students experience virtual reality by using VR headsets to explore immersive games and interactive environments. Through guided play and discussion, they learn how VR technology works and explore its applications in gaming, education, and other industries.
