Semiconductors play a crucial role in powering electronic devices and driving innovations across sectors like communications, computing, healthcare, transportation, and clean energy.
BB2S seeks to collaborate with leading technology companies to expose middle and high school students in Oregon to the semiconductor industry.
This initiative is designed to ignite student interest in STEM by introducing them to electronics and basic engineering. Our ultimate goal is to inspire and prepare the next generation of engineers and technologists, with the hope that many will pursue careers in the broader STEM workforce.

To be eligible, students must
Be enrolled in a Middle/ High school in Oregon at the time of application
Be a 7th to 12th grader
Have an interest in science and technology; no prior experience required

By the end of the program, students will
Understand the fundamental concepts of semiconductors and their applications.
Tour state-of-the-art semiconductor facilities
Learn about the different types of semiconductors and their properties.
Gain practical experience in semiconductor research and development
Explore potential career paths in the semiconductor industry.
